I am a graduate of Texas State Professional Counseling Program, and I am a multicultural counselor working from a feminist-relational perspective. Although I focus on relationships and their connections, my goal is to meet each client in a place that is most comfortable for them. As a multicultural counselor, I honor and support all clients
and their diversity in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
I have a special interest in women's growth and development—later life sexual identity and orientation shifts, heterosexually married women with children transitioning or expanding sexual identity, and women who have not always known or accepted their sexual identity.
I also have conducted researched related to maternal depression before, during, and after pregnancy, as well as the difficulties faced by women who are mothering challenging infants due to colic, dairy and food allergies.
I have worked with clients who struggle with multiple life challenges such as anxiety, grief, loss, trauma, suicidality, intimate partner violence, guilt, and shame. I have also worked with clients who have previously been diagnosed with Schizoaffective, mood, and anxiety disorders, as well as borderline personality disorder.
